IMPORTANT: Change of navigation menu in Bookolo administration

Dear current (and future) clients,
We would like to inform you about the change of the navigation menu in the Bookolo system, which will now be displayed vertically on the left side of the screen. Don't worry, this will not be an overnight change. The whole change process will be divided into several phases and will take 3 months starting from 1.11.2023 until 1.2.2024.

In the first phase, it will be mainly a form of A/B testing - this means that the default option will still be the existing menu layout with the possibility of switching to the new layout, (an ON/OFF button will appear in the system for switching between the different layouts) in addition, every time you log into the administration, a window will appear with information that a new menu is available.

This phase will run until January 2024. From 1.2.2024 there will be a permanent change in all administrations to the new menu layout. We don't want to rush anything and we want to get relevant feedback, so in the first 3 months (November 23 - January 24) you will be able to choose which menu version you want to use. During this time we will be happy for any feedback that will help us to improve the system layout.

Why the sudden change?

The change is the result of several factors that will enable us to further develop the whole system and all modules. Bookolo has expanded considerably over the last years with new modules and the current version of the menu is no longer sufficient in size and graphics for these needs.

Our development department constantly monitors graphic and development trends and the new menu layout has been proven to be more user-friendly based on research on similar systems - easier to navigate for new users and better readability on different devices. In the future, we also plan to upgrade the entire administration to version 4 with many improvements that would not be fully compatible with the current menu version.

Transition schedule to the new menu

• November 1, 2023 - deployment of the new menu for production A/B testing - the existing menu will be set as the default with the option to switch to the new layout using the ON/OFF button. A window will appear each time you log into the administration with information about the new menu.
• December 1, 2023 - Continued production A/B testing, except that the new vertical menu will be the default after login. However, it will still be possible to switch to the old horizontal menu using the ON/OFF button
• 1 February 2024 - Full transition to the new navigation menu with no option to switch back.
